Great idea and format for a site! I always prefer the raw data. I’m also happy to find other independent political blogs to follow… they seem rare and are often difficult to find.

One suggestion for possible future expansion: a lot of orgs now also publish written transcripts of events which would be easy to link to. While I prefer watching the original because so much context is in tone and body language, when I’m done if I decide later (after I’ve had time to digest the material) I want to go back and quote someone, it’s much easier to skim through or word-search a transcript than to have to re-watch the whole vid.

    Thanks!

    • http://uneditedpolitics.wordpress.com Unedited Politics

Thanks for the feedback. I do plan to start posting transcripts as well in the future.

    • http://atransitoryyes.wordpress.com Paul Leroux

I agree with stoshk. Written transcripts are sometimes hard to come by, though. That’s a shame, they should be made available once the speech has been given and is in the public domain.

  • http://jimyardley.wordpress.com Jim Yardley

Thanks for reading my blog. Now that I know about this site, I know I’ll be back often to see exactly how our “leaders” manage to get so much of their feet in their mouths.

I like the approach to objectivity. Thanks for your response to my post at Theorizing Politics.

  • http://socialdiffusion.wordpress.com ArizonaByThe27

I absolutely adore this concept, though I must say I’m a huge fan of Rachel Maddow, (guilty as charged.) I will definitely keep up to date on this blog; it’s a fantastic inspiration for politically-charged posts, I must say.

  • http://adonis49.wordpress.com adonis49

May I assume that you will publish originals, from other languages, from politicians outside the USA? and possibly translated pieces from other languages?

    • http://uneditedpolitics.wordpress.com Unedited Politics

No, this site will be dedicated to American politics.

  • http://revoltofamotherof6.wordpress.com anneepple

Are you saying that you believe that propaganda is only part of the media? Politicians are propaganda machines and I find it humorous that people are still taking debates and such seriously.

  • http://ericpoli.wordpress.com Eric Poli

Cool Site. I’m sure I’ll be checking in regularly!

  • http://oobiedoo.wordpress.com oobiedoo

Love the blog. It’s nice to find a place that offers just the candidates words, instead of the twisted versions MSNBC and Fox News offer to further their agendas.

I’m not American but we get so much news in Australia about your elections that you’d think Australia was just another state of the US so this is a refreshing take on it all.

Right. Added you to my blogroll. Just followed you on Twitter.

  • http://charlesvoiceinthewilderness.wordpress.com Harvey For President

In 1976, the total cost of electioneering was $540 million.
The cost of the presidential campaign in 1996 was $232 million. The 2000 national election campaign in total may well have cost over $1 billion.
    http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/finance.htm
Charles Harvey, Presidential Candidate-2012, from the “middle-class,” has spent less than $500.00, out of his monthly Social Security checks. He learned to make a presidential video for a cost of $82.00. He speaks his own words from his heart, mind, and soul. He is well educated and capable of saving America and the “middle class,” The “upper class” are doing just fine. The American, (?) Media has refused to interview Charles Harvey, a candidate from the “middle class,” nor other candidates from “middle class; “especially if they are not politicians, a politician, or well-funded.

Give a voice to the “Middle Class”

Americans Elect-2012 Let’s Americans decide, not the media who goes on the ballot.

    About Americans Elect-2012:

It cost you nothing to help a “middle class Candidate be Heard and seen in the Debates on Americans Elect.

Charles Harvey, Presidential Candidate-2012, is from the “middle class” and for the “middle class.”

    Thank You.

“May God embrace you in his Angels wings, and give you Peace, Joy and Love, as you soar through the clouds of life challenges before you”
    By Charles Harvey
“I have to live for others and not for myself: that’s middle-class morality.” George Bernard Shaw
Dedicated to healing America’s wounds, and help the “middle class” that makes up 72% percent of the population. The middle class” cannot out spend the Wealthy that buys the presidency every election, but the “middle class” can out vote them. We need a highly educated person from the “middle class,” like me. What has the “upper class” politicians accomplished for the “middle class?” and the “working class” in the last 40 years,” Nothing!
It’s time, for the “middle class” to move into the Oval Office. I am that man that can, from the “middle class,” and for the “middle class.” “Middle Class,” Is going to sell the White House, to a “upper class; “politician, with the most Funds raised. Give a Voice to the “Middle Class,” Insist that CNN, and Media, give Television time, to Charles Harvey, Presidential Candidate-2012, from the “middle class,” that has not ask for a Penney in funding. All he asks is to give him the rights as stated in the Constitution, to every American candidate of all classes.

Good blog. Good resource. Thank you

  • http://www.facebook.com/CenterofMass Tom Cox

I am certain I am not alone in thinking this is a very valuable site. I

wonder if others would like to lighten the load of notification emails with an option to receive daily digests of new posts, rather than an email for each new post. Is that possible?

In any case, thanks for providing the one-stop-shopping, no-fee, superstore for unedited media from the political scene.
